Shadows are moving in the darkness, creeping into dreams, and stealing away those who dream. No one knows their purpose, but anyone who has encountered one knows its dangerous power. Their primary targets: the Dreamers.
Dreamers are unusual humans with the ability to control their own dreams (through a technique known as “lucid dreaming,” something anyone can theoretically do). What's more, Dreamers are able to enter reality through their dreams, and control it as well.
The realms of dreams and “the Dreaming Reality” are now the battlefield between the Shadows and the Dreamers. However, few of the Dreamers even know their own power, and have yet to organize to formally combat the threat of the Shadows.

LUCID is an upcoming HDL setting, which should soon be available as a downloadable PDF and in stores.
